  • Month of Sundays in October will go to the Seven Nations Healing Program as well as Nimiipuu Land access for education and collection of native plant herbs and native foods. Money will help work with Palouse Land Trust to help give the tribe legal access. The plan is to do this every year in October.

  • United in Community’s Get-Out-the-Vote presents Each One – Reach one began October 19. This project asks participants to help just one person transition from a non-voter to a voter. Time is running out before the November 3 election.

    Through the UUCP Social Justice Committee some volunteers are available to assist Latah County residents in Moscow and the surrounding areas who need transportation to vote early. Early voting runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, from October 19 through October 30. This service is available to anyone, including people outside of our congregation. Please pass this information on to anyone you know who needs help getting to the polls.

  • Volunteer opportunities from Bans Off Moscow and Idahoans United to support Prop 1, the Reproductive Freedom & Privacy Act. Learn how to talk to your friends and neighbors about Prop 1. Attend an online training with Idahoans United leader Melanie Folwell. Sign up for “Messaging with Melanie” 
  • Whitman County WA Midterm Election 2026. Go to VoteWA.gov for further details.
    • October 19: If your ballot hasn’t arrived, visit VoteWA.gov to check your status and print a replacement.
    • October 26: Deadline to register online or by mail.
      • November 3: Last day to register in person. Sign your ballot envelope, include your phone number, and return it to an official drop box by 8 p.m.
  • If possible, use an official drop box rather than mailing your ballot. Visit VoteWA.gov to track it and confirm it was counted.
  • Latah County ID Midterm Election 2026. Go to Vote411.org for further details.

    • October 19-30: Early voting at Latah County Fairgrounds and U-Idaho ISUB.

    • October 23: Deadline for online registration, 8am-5pm.

    • October 23, Deadline for absentee ballot, must be postmarked by 10/23.

    • November 3: Last day to register in person and vote.

  • Social Justice Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at 11:30am. Zoom link
  • GOLD (GrandOleDykes = friends), Ignite grants, and LGBT+ movies presents La Cage Aux Folles at the Kenworthy on November 10. Details provided closer to the event.

  • Living Voices presents Winning Her Wings on November 11, which is Veteran’s Day.
    Rachel McClinton, Living Voices Director and Actor will portray women being allowed to be pilots in WWII.

  • GOLD (GrandOleDykes = friends), Ignite grants, and LGBT+ movies presents Carol at the Kenworthy on December 8. Details provided closer to the event
  • LCHRC presents Martin Luther King Breakfast on January 23, 9:30am-12pm. Details provided closer to the event.

  • Recurring Events

    • First Amendment Fridays are held every Friday at Friendship Square in Moscow, 11-12pm. Bring a sign stating your concern and join this practical exercise in civics education.

    • The Peace Vigil is held every Friday at Friendship Square in Moscow, 3-4pm. Bring your signs with the intention of creating a more just and peaceful world.

    • The Rally for Sanity is held every Saturday from 12-2pm on the sidewalk in front of Neill Public Library in Pullman.

    • The Palouse Protest is held every Sunday from 11-12pm in Palouse, WA.
