Welcome Rev. Shelly Thompson
Rev. Shelly Thompson, she/her, will join our congregation as Interim Minister
beginning August 1, and we are delighted to welcome her to our church
community.
Rev. Shelly is known for her warm, engaging, and supportive ministry style.
Ordained in 2018, she brings experience in interim ministry, faith formation,
membership development, pastoral care, and collaborative leadership. Her
background also includes training in multicultural ministry, anti-racism work, and
community organizing.
Before entering ministry, Rev. Shelly worked as a mental health therapist in
counseling and social service settings supporting at-risk youth and families,
experiences that continue to shape her compassionate and thoughtful approach
to congregational life.
Rev. Shelly is passionate about helping congregations navigate times of
transition with care, connection, and shared purpose. We look forward to
welcoming her into the life of the UUCP this August!
