Forward Through the Ages

Celebrant:  Zena Hartung

We build on foundations we did not lay.  We warm ourselves by fires we did not light.  We sit in the shade of trees we did not plant.  We drink from wells we did not dig -Rev. Peter Raible

Last year, the UUCP lost its last remaining founding member, Coralie Borning.  How do we keep her memory alive, along with memories of the other people who built and sustained our community for its first 80 years?  Why is this important?  And what shifts in us when we think of ourselves as future elders, building something for a generation of UU’s not yet born?
